Zneel interviewed

Posted on 30/05/2010 by weifit

I had the chance to sit down with Jim zneel Andersson, a player that has played for teams such as Begrip and SK Gaming and have been out of the competitive scene for a while. He was seen last weekend in the INFAME mix team that won IOL by beating compLexity in the finals.

We don't need to spend much time with presentations, you're a well known player in our community but just in case, make a previous presentation of yourself.

  • Hey! I'm Jim "zneel" Andersson, turning 22 this Thursday. Not playing professionally right now but I still play CS.

It is known that you have left the competitive gaming scene, can you tell us why you made such decision?

  • I enjoyed my time in H2k, it wasn't anything against them. It was mostly because the changes in the team, with the players. FYRR73 was suppose to go to MYM and the team I started to play with from the beginning was starting to fall apart.

After you left the competitive scene you have still participated in tournaments with mix teams like this weekend. What makes you do that?

  • Just because I don't play professionally anymore doesn't mean I don't enjoy CS, I still think it's funny as hell to play. If you play with funny and talented people it's always fun to participate tournaments. It was even more great this weekend because we won.

Was it different for you to win a lan event such as IOL with a mix team against teams such as compLexity than when you were playing for actual teams?

  • No, not really. We had really fun and all of us did a great job this weekend. It might be a little more serious if you're a serious team. It didn't feel like we had any pressure on us either, so it felt great.

How did you feel returning to play in such an event?

  • At every event you go to, you always meet a lot of friends and people you know. You always have a good time.

After your IOL performance did any organisation contact you?

  • Yes.

Do you consider getting back to serious competition in the future?

  • That thought it constantly in my mind to be honest... I guess it would depend much what kind of team it is, but right now I don't think I got the time, I'm gonna study this summer and probably continue it this fall. But I will never say never. I still love all the official tournaments, the trips, everything.

This is the end of the interview, do you want to leave a message or something more?

  • Thanks for the support this weekend. Do you have any questions to me you can always find me in #muskelbyggning 8)
