Counter-Strike

Defining Stars has released its Counter-Strike team and announced a new one.

The portuguese organisation came back a few months ago and added inspired as its Counter-Strike team. Today that team was released, making the following players free agents:

• Vasco vsk Santos
• Tiago lobo Fontes
• Flávio oDEith Antunes
• Ricardo rmn Oliveira
• Diogo Ririo Aguiar

With the release of this team, defs welcomes another team. This team sees the comeback of caliban and QUICK to active gaming, and also includes other known names and up and coming players in its lineup.

The new defs.cs is as follows:

• Joel gax Meira
• Tiago QUICK Silva
• Filipe Caliban Alferes
• Thomas MECCA Moniz

Excello had the chance to sit down and interview Joel gax Meira:

excello|think: Hey there, Joel! Would you like to introduce yourself to the community?
defs|gax: Hey! My name is Joel Meira, also known as Gax. I'm a Counter-Strike player for 7 years, but I'm only in seriously competitions since 2006.

excello|think: Could you describe the beggining of your carrer for us?
defs|gax: As a friend of mine was always talking about a FPS game, he invited me to go to a Lan House and as I was curious about the game, I decided to go. At first, I hated Counter-Strike, but later I went there again because my friend was always inviting me, and after that I started loving CS. For me, it was very good to play with my friends. We had a lot of fun talking with each others and fragging other guys.

excello|think: What are the clans you were in before you re-joined defs?
defs|gax: I represented proR, kiyoshi, paranoids and now I'm back again to defs.

excello|think: As everyone knows, you represented k1ck in ESWC. How did you feel knowing that you were replacing the best portuguese player, Ricardo "fox" Pacheco, playing against the best teams in the world?
defs|gax: It was the second best expirience for me since I play CS, playing side-by-side with k1ck and replacing fox is a huge responsability because I have a country counting on me, but I think that I did it very well. It was very nice for me, representing my country in Paris, I want to please k1ck for this chance and I also want to thank all the Portuguese comunity for all the support.

excello|think: Since this was your second best experience, what was the first?
defs|gax: My best experience was winning a tournament called "Dotcom powered by defs" in 2006. It was my first time in a tournament with the best teams of Portugal. With no expirience, we won the tour and I had the sure that I could be better in this game.

excello|think: Recently, you moved to Defining Stars. What are you expecting from this team? Maybe one day becoming the best in Portugal?
defs|gax: If we train very hard I think that we can fight all the teams, when the moment arrives, we will see. But we're are players with a lot of expirience, I'm confident that we'll have good results.

excello|think: Do you want to give any special words for the portuguese community?
defs|gax: Yes. With a lot of dedication and sacrifices, you can make it! I would also like to please Excello for this interview. Good Luck for you.
