Antwerp Aces kicked from EAS

Posted on 08/06/2010 by razvan

ESL Benelux has decided to kick Antwerp Aces from the ESL Amateur Series - 1st div.  after they have exceeded the maximum number of penalty points.

The ESL staff took this decision after a cumulation of 10 minor and 6 major penalty points. It came as a bad announcement for the belgians, who had a great wining streak after 5 won matches in a row.

Also, along with this decision, Antwerp Aces will not be able to compete in ESL Pro Series season V and will have to wait for the next Amateur Series season.

As a mention, Antwerp Aces have missed EPS Season 4, beeing disqualified from the qualifier due to wrong SteamID fill. This is the only one reason why they were playing in EAS div 1.

Exclusive statement for excello.net from Antwerp Aces by Fréderic 'Monu' Dewever:

Due to exams we couldn't even play 1 match with the full lineup, so we had to play with alot of stand-in's. Paying premium for 10 different players would be a bit crazy for a first division league.
